Volkswagen Super Bowl 2012 Ad Teaser will have More Views than Volkswagen The Force Super Bowl Ad before Super Bowl Sunday

Monday, January 23, 2012

Volkswagen released on January 18 a teaser video for the Volkswagen Super Bowl 2012 ad. We already have been pretty sure in our original post that "The Bark Side" titled Volkswagen video would go viral. Two days later the Star Wars Theme singing dogs has  been already watched by close to 3 million people on Youtube.
Today, 5 days after the release of the Volkswagen Game Day Commercial Teaser, the video has already over 7 million views on Youtube.

Remind you that this is just a teaser and not the actual Volkswagen Super Bowl 2012 Ad. The VW Super Bowl Ad features the new VW Beetle and will have complete different content. Volkswagen said though that the canine chorus barking Star Wars music would make sense when watching the actual Volkswagen Super Bowl 2012 commercial.
The smash hit Volkswagen Super Bowl Ad from last year title "The Force" got released 5 days before the Super Bowl 2011 game. The Star Wars themed funny ad reached 13 million views before it aired during the game. The Super Bowl 2012 is still two weeks away. The Bark Side video will reach far more views. I predict that the video will have about 30 million views before the Super Bowl game starts.

The cool thing is that when Volkswagen is releasing the actual Super Bowl 2012 Ad featuring the Beetle, views of The Bark Side will even go up as more people are tuning in to the Volkswagen campaign. Volkswagen really knows how to play the Super Bowl ad game.
