Super Bowl 2012 will be streamed Online

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

For the first time ever the Super Bowl will be streamed online. NBC reached a deal with the NFL to stream the big game on February 5th online. The Super Bowl 2012 will be streamed online at NBCSports.com and NFL.com through SNF Extra, which features an HD broadcast, DVR-style controls, additional camera angles, in-game highlights, live statistics and interactive elements.

Update:
Read the details and requirements to watch the free Super Bowl 2012 video stream online.

The Super Bowl XLVI will also be streamed on mobile devices via the NFL Mobile App on Verizon.

I assume the Super Bowl 2012 online broadcast will also include the Super Bowl ads. It will be interesting if the Super Bowl stream will be available internationally or region locked to viewers located in the United States. Watching the Super Bowl with the ads has been impossible internationally so far. If NBC makes the stream available globally the ads would also get international exposure right on the big game day. We will of course publish all Super Bowl 2012 Ads online as soon as they are available.

The Super Bowl 2012 is taking place in Indianapolis on February 5th, 2012. Super Bowl Ads for Geeks is covering everything there is to know about the Super Bowl 2012 Ads and more, leading up to the big game. The coverage on Super Bowl Ads for Geeks extends our famous Super Bowl for Geeks Guide on I4U News. Bonus: Watch all Super Bowl 2011 Ads.
